The GAMSAT Scores

Your GAMSAT results will be available approximately seven weeks after the test.
An email will be sent to you explaining how to access your results online. Under no circumstances will results be released over the telephone or by fax. This is to protect candidate confidentiality. Results will also be provided to the Central Applications Office (CAO).

You will receive a score for each of the three sections, together with an Overall GAMSAT Score. The Overall Score is a weighted average of the three component scores.  Each of the four GAMSAT scores is expressed on a scale of 0 to 100. These are not percentage marks.

Using previous GAMSAT results

If you have two valid GAMSAT scores (e.g. from a previous sitting in 2007 and from March 2008 GAMSAT Ireland), you may use whichever you prefer to apply for admission in 2008.  Please contact the CAO for more information.

You should be aware that university cut-offs may change from year to year, and GAMSAT scores that gained you an interview in one year may not be sufficient to gain an interview in the following year.

Note: GAMSAT scores older than two years are not valid and may not be used in any application.

Programmes

GAMSAT is a professionally designed and marked selection test developed by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) for medical schools offering graduate-entry programmes open to graduates of any discipline.

You will need to sit GAMSAT Ireland if you intend to apply for 2008 entry into one of the following programmes:

In the event of other programmes being approved for graduate-entry to medicine in 2008, these will also require GAMSAT Ireland. Candidates should constantly monitor this website and the website of the Central Applications Office (CAO) for any announcements.
